Last night marked a momentous occasion for the Montrose Christian Basketball program and community. It was the premier of a documentary on the 2010-11 basketball team at Montrose Christian School (Rockville, MD). The show is titled Hoops Academy and the premise behind the show is to display all the hard work and time that is put into running one of the nation's top high school basketball programs. The show spotlights highly ranked Tyrone Johnson (Villanova), Tyler Hubbard, Justin Anderson and our international players Michael Carrera (Venezuela), Carmello Betancourt (Puerto Rico), Yuki Togashi (Japan) and Kevin Larsen (Denmark).
The show is being televised on Fox College Sports Atlantic (Channel 300 Verizon/Channel 720 Comcast) on Tuesday nights at 9 or 9:30pm. The show will air 3 repeats every week after every new episode. For more information regarding the show visit the Offical Hoops Academy Website. For live updates on show news and bonuses visit Hoops Academy or Montrose Basketball on Twitter.
It is an honor and a privilege for me to be a part of this amazing opportunity. If you saw the show last night I would love to hear your feedback.
I hope you enjoy the series!
Matt
